Terms and Conditions

  Bookings & Payment

• A £25 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
• Bookings are confirmed once the deposit has been received and confirmation has been issued.
• Full payment is due 14 days prior to the event.
• Bookings made within 14 days of the event must be paid in full at the time of booking.
• Payment is required by bank transfer.

 

Cancellations & Changes

• Cancellations or reschedules must be requested by the named Hirer via email.
• Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will receive a refund minus the deposit.
• Cancellations within 14 days of the event are non-refundable.
• Reschedule requests within 14 days will be treated as a cancellation.
• Bookings are only considered cancelled or amended once confirmed by us in writing.
• If Vik and Roo Party Hire cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued (including the deposit).

  

Outdoor Hire (May–August Only)

• Outdoor hire is available between 31st May and 31st August, subject to weather conditions, ground suitability, and operational availability.
• The Hirer must provide a suitable, level, clean, and safe outdoor area for setup. This must be on grass or another appropriate surface unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We reserve the right to refuse setup on unsuitable surfaces, including but not limited to concrete, gravel, decking, or uneven ground.
• The setup area must be clear of debris, sharp objects, animal waste, and hazards prior to delivery. Failure to provide a suitable area may result in cancellation, and the booking will be treated in line with our cancellation terms.

  

Weather & Outdoor Hire Policy

• All outdoor hires are weather-dependent. Equipment must not be used in rain, high winds, or unsafe conditions.

• The Hirer is responsible for providing a suitable indoor backup space in the event of adverse weather. The indoor space must be of sufficient size and suitable for the equipment booked.

• Where an indoor alternative is available, we will set up indoors if outdoor conditions are deemed unsafe.

• If no suitable indoor space is available at the time of delivery or setup, and conditions are unsafe for outdoor use, the booking will be unable to proceed and will be treated as a cancellation by the Hirer. In such circumstances, no refund will be given.

• We reserve the right to refuse, delay, or cancel setup where weather conditions are deemed unsafe, at our sole discretion.

• Once equipment has been set up, the Hirer is responsible for monitoring weather conditions. If conditions deteriorate, use must stop immediately.

• No refunds or credits will be given for non-use due to weather after setup has taken place.

  

Delivery, Setup & Collection

• Equipment will be delivered, set up, and collected at agreed times.
• Suitable access must be provided.
• The Hirer must ensure the equipment is accessible for collection and that all items are present. Equipment should not be removed, tampered with, or used after the agreed collection time.

  

Use & Safety

• Children must be always supervised by a responsible adult.
• Equipment is suitable for children up to 5 years old only. Older children and adults must not use the equipment.
• No food, drink, chewing gum, shoes, sharp objects, face paint, glitter, or messy play materials are permitted on or near the equipment.
• Equipment must not be moved once set up.
• The Hirer must ensure equipment remains clean and dry at all times.
• Any damage caused through misuse, negligence, or lack of supervision may result in additional charges.

  

Liability & Responsibility

All persons using the equipment do so at their own risk, subject to our statutory obligations.

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other matter where it would be unlawful to do so, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

We carry public liability insurance of up to £1 million. However, the Hirer is responsible for ensuring:
• Adequate adult supervision at all times
• Safe use of the equipment
• Suitable space and setup conditions

Vik and Roo Party Hire accept no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or damage arising from misuse, lack of supervision, or unsuitable conditions.

The Hirer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Victoria Blowers t/a Vik and Roo Party Hire against any claims, losses, or costs arising from breach of this agreement or failure to supervise users adequately.

We are not liable for any loss or damage to personal property during the hire period.

  

Damage, Loss & Cleaning

• Any missing, broken, or damaged items will be charged at replacement value.
• Excessive cleaning (including from food, drink, mud, or prohibited items) may result in an additional cleaning fee.


Agreement

By booking with Vik and Roo Party Hire you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
